With a mellow, easy voice and wise songwriting that hints of a life of honest living, Jim Bachmann has been entertaining the Phoenix scene over the past decade, sharing the stage with heroes and friends such as Billy Joe Shaver, Whitey Morgan and the 78's, Dallas Moore, Shinyribs, The SteelDrivers, Ramsay Midwood, Mike and the Moonpies, Tony Martinez, The Reeves Brothers, Jeremy Pinnell, Paul Cauthen and more. Bachmann's music blends Americana, Roots, Blues and Country into a sound that stays true to tradition while serving up his own blend of Sonoran Desert soaked good-timin' stonerbilly.

JBDD with Waymore's Outlaws and played on Shooter Jennings Electric Rodeo!

Dec 28 was a day we won't soon forget in the land of the Day Drinkers. We got to play with Waymore's Outlaws featuring Tommy Townsend, Richie Albright, Jerry "Jigger" Bridges, and Fred Newell. To cap off hanging with our honky tonk heroes, when we were leaving the bar our song played on the radio. A big thanks to Shooter Jennings for including it on Electric Radio on XM60 Outlaw Country!

The Latest From Day Drinkerville

It's been a minute and lots of great things are happening on this side of the fence that I wanted to let you all know about. We've finally finished tracking on the new cd with Sean Cooney over at 3-Leaf Studio in Phoenix and have a release date set for November 8! I was able to work with some heroes and friends on this one - Road Warrior and all around great guy Dallas Moore dropped in and we cut the Billy Shoe Shaver classic Live Forever. We also have valley legends Ray Herndon, Jon Rauhouse, PH Naffah, Tony Martinez, Jerry Donato, Todd Chuba, Patrick Clark. John Rickard, Jennifer Robinson, Shea Marshall, Chip Hanna, August Manley, Handsome Josh Williams, Greg Muller and Greg Varlotta rounding out the tracks. We can't wait to set this one out into the world and we're going to be having a release party at thr Dirty Drummer on 44th St and Oak on Saturday November 9. Hope to see you there!

In the meantime we have some really great shows coming up with Billy Don Burns, Tony Martinez, The Cole Trains, Jim Dalton from Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Teddy and the Rough Riders, Billy Gant, Hank Topless, and American Longspurs. Check the calendar for dates!

We also want to welcome Stanky Pete Gonzales to the band on bass - our brother from another mother.

Be good out there to one another and we hope to see you all soon!

It's almost July?!?!

Hey Day Drinkers! June was a whirlwind and we're catching up and taking a little rest before we wind it back up. June saw us playing with some heroes and friends Mike and the Moonpies at Rebel Lounge, Possessed by Paul James at the Rhythm Room, Jeremy Pinnell at Roosters, and closing out the month with Gethen Jenkins at the Yucca Tap Room.

Jim and Chip Hanna kicking off for Possessed by Paul James

Playing bass with Tony Martinez, his dad Rick and valley legend Jimmy Pines on drums at the Dirty Drummer.

Jim did a solo weekend at Wrecked at the Reef in Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco, Son. Mex) and will bringing the Day Drinkers down for a 3 night run at Banditos Cantina in Rocky Point over the 4th of July Weekend!

The highlight of June came at the Crescent Ballroom where we held a fundraiser to help send my daughter Nyah to Europe for a 3 week tour with the Arizona Embassadors of Music. The Day Drinkers kicked it off and then were joined by an all-star cast of characters including Jon Rauhouse, Mark Zubia, Mikel Lander, Betsy Ganz, Nolan McKelvey, Robert Perez, Chip Hanna and Jayson James.

Be sure to join up and check into the JBDD Watering Hole over in facebook land!
